But then once we got out of the commercial atmosphere we saw Verona, a truly delightful city. And we walked and we climbed the hills and the view was magnificent. The sunny day helped a lot and encouraged buying for the second time, italian ice'cream...
We enjoyed the narrow streets and the earthly and green tones which according to R. blend harmoniously. The bridges, the picturesque cafterias, oesterias, trattorias or any other form of jsut spending a while chatting and eating near the Adige river, the pots with flowers, the little artisan shops, the stone made road, the long bike routes, the impression that everything can be the subject of a painting...ah, well, I guess I loved it.
In one day you can see almost all the city. It has an inner logic of streets going from Train station to Piazza Bra where the Arena is and, if you reach the hills after that, the map of it stays in mind for all the rest of the journey.
But I guess the pcitures above speak for themselves.
